I’ve been running Windows 7 now for the past year. It is more stable than its predecessors and brings a better more efficient GUI plus, much better performance.  The question is, should you or your business update from Vista or XP?  The answer to that question is based on your current and future needs, structure and business plan.

For a home user I would say yes unless all you do is email and surf the web.  Windows 7 has some great new key features.  Jump Lists allows speedy access to your favorite pictures, songs, websites, and documents.    Snap is quick (and fun!) it is   new way to resize and compare windows on your desktop. My favorite, Windows Search, you can find virtually anything on your PC, instantly.  Can’t remember where you put that picture, type all or part of the name, walla it is there. Play your media on other PCs, stereos, or TVs around the house.  Enjoy your music and videos on your home PC—even when you're not at home.

For your business well, that answers gets bit more complicated. Here are some basic questions you should ask yourself.  Are your current software, hardware and peripherals compatible with Windows 7?  Will they work properly without any modifications? Does your current software support Windows 7? How long will your current software vendors support XP?   If you answered “Yes” to all the questions, then upgrading is definitely a viable option.  Windows 7 is not just new eye candy, but a strong, dependable, and more secure OS than XP or even Vista.  Thinking of upgrading but do not know if you hardware and software will support Windows 7.  Give us a call and we would be glad to advise you.  If you are located within 30 miles of Cumming, Georgia, give us call for a free on-site consultation.
